1. Contractor must be local to the area
   Affordable has served the local Fox Valley Area since 1980. We are familiar with all local building ordinances and obtain the necessary permits.
2. Contractor must have a business address (no home addresses)
   Affordable has been in same location for over 30 years. A sure sign of stability and assures you, the property owner, that we are not going anywhere.
3. Contractor must have State of Illinois Unlimited Roofing License
   Affordable has an Unlimited Roofing License #104-000699 – Secured 1984. You should automatically reject any contractor who is not licensed in the State of Illinois.
4. Contractor must be in business for at least 5 years
   Affordable Roofing has over 30 years of dependable service. Under five years is often a tell-tale sign of a potentially unstable business. Approximately 90% of contracting businesses fail within the first five years. Examine new business with extra care before awarding the project.
5. Contractor must have at least 5 full time employees
   Affordable has 9 full time roofers, plus office and shop staff. You will NOT be left with an inferior roof built by an untrained labor force. We have trained, experienced roofing mechanics, and not laborers employed for one or two interim jobs.
6. Contractor must have State of Illinois and Work Comp insurance

7. Contractor must have minimum 1 million umbrella insurance

8. Contractor must have BBB Rating of B+ or better

9. Contractor must be member of NRCA or MRCA or CRCA
