Stress cracks between the roof deck and neighboring wall suggested movement between
buildings. The cracks allowed water to enter the wall of the building below.
To counter-act building movement, we constructed a non-support wall on top of the project
roof. Counter-flashing was attached to the adjoining building. Building walls can now move freely
without putting any stress on the new roof system.
A chimney not is use was showing its age. Safety was an issue from the possibility of falling
brick. We are good at tearing things out and demolished the chimney as part of the project.
