Experience on the Job
On this job we were called in to tear-off and install a new portion on the roof. As you can notice on the video the previous work done around ’08 is still in pristine condition. First the crew removes the roof to the lowest layer and down to the base. Then the first layer is applied using hot asphalt. The second layer is then applied over the first in a staggered formation to reduce heat loss and it too is applied using hot asphalt. All of the layers are then sealed using a base sheet and finally finished up with a Firestone APP 180 membrane.
Note the detail work done to insure that this system and its components remain watertight to insure its durability.
